Invitation to students

This summer, Danish Maritime, Danish Shipping, Danish Export Association and ShippingLab are taking more than 150 students to Hamburg to visit SMM, the world’s largest maritime technology fair.

As a SIMAC student, this is your chance to see how energy‑optimization systems, fuel‑handling innovations and predictive‑maintenance tools are transforming one of the world’s biggest global industries. Over three days, you’ll meet companies working at the cutting edge of maritime tech, explore new mechanical and technical solutions and get a feel for the many career paths in a sector where marine engineers are in high demand.

To join the trip, you must attend the mandatory information meeting hosted by SH Group on the 20^th of April 15:00–17:00, where you’ll get practical details about the trip and an introduction to the maritime sector.

The study trip takes place from 2-4^th of September 2026. The commitment fee is 300 DKK, and all other expenses – transport, accommodation and meals – are covered and arranged by the organizers.
