Streamet IDA-foredrag: CCUS at Sea: Capturing and Transporting CO2
“The EU aims to abate 50 million tons of CO2 by 2030. The International Energy Forum (IEF) estimates that 5.6 gigatons of CO2 must be captured by 2050. This monumental task requires the maritime industry to do its part. Join us for an evening where we begin by examining CO2 as a molecule (and other climate gases) and its peculiarities, as well as its integral role in our climate cycle. This will be followed by a deep dive into concrete solutions where shipping plays a pivotal role: innovative designs of liquid CO2 carriers and transportation in containers as dry ice.
We will cover everything from carbon capture onboard to the transport of CO2 as a new commodity in shipping, and the essential role CO2 plays in the production of certain types of green fuels.”
