The green transition as well as rapid digitalization require a constant focus on people and the skills we have. How do we ensure that we keep up with training and learning? The presentation will discuss the challenges of training and discuss solutions on how to develop and deliver training using the latest technologies.

DanPilot is spearheading the introduction of remote pilotage in Danish Waters for parts of the major transit routes in the Danish Straits. Remote pilotage is not only a technology project. We will demonstrate how we manage skills and training of not just pilots – but also the seafarers, all to ensure safe and efficient pilotage.

We will go through the pilots internal training scheme, as well as the crew- training and assessment solution which is part of the remote pilotage safety assessment.

Presentation of MARTECs new bachelor’s degree Program in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, focusing on content and learning methods. Furthermore, MARTECs perspective on the support of lifelong learning and the development of competencies in the maritime sector will be presented. Emphasis will be on flexible learning environments to increase access to education/courses, and thereby support and enable the continuous development of professionals.
